Koa is often referred to as "the other wood". Long popular in ukuleles, this Hawaiian tonewood has the crispness and clarity of the finest rosewood, but with all the warmth, thick tone, and airiness of mahogany. Its individual note definition has impressive separation, with power and projection that is almost self-generating. Koa’s ability to be boisterous and brash, or soft and smooth makes it ideal for acoustic basses. Koa is also one of the few tonewoods that works well as a back and side wood and as a soundboard.
Boulder Creek Guitars boast quality build and stylish finishes that make them popular, not only in the Nashville country scene but on stages the world over with some of pop and rock's most famous stars.
