There are two separate channels onboard the Z.Vex 59' Sound, these include Boost and Rock, and can be engaged via the stomp switches. The Boost channel can be used isolated, or alongside the Distortion channel. The Boost channel allows the distortion to hit the amp with increased power when both of the switches are engaged; this works exceptionally well for boosting solos and for achieving high gain.
Simple Yet Versatile Controls
The 59' Sound Overdrive is equipped with four simply laid out controls, that allow you to sculpt your sound with ease. The Boost control lets you adjust the level of boost, resulting in a crackling, high gain, distorted sound. There is also Volume control which adjusts the distortion output level; Tone control alters the amount of treble content to colour your tone, and the Drive knob controls the amount of distortion on the sound.
