Pearl Midtown 4pc Compact Shell Pack w/ Bags, Black Gold Glitter Overview

The Pearl Midtown 4pc Compact Shell Pack is a portable 4 piece shell pack, designed with travelling or busking drummers in mind. Comprised of a 16'' x 14'' bass drum, a 13'' x 5.5'' snare, a 10'' x 7'' tom and a 13'' x 12'' floor tom. The shells are constructed from 6-ply poplar, offering a punchy, crisp attack and a short decay. Additionally, the bass drum features a pedal lift. This raises the bass drum so that the beater on the pedal hits the centre of the drum, instead of hitting much further up. Also featured on the Midtown is Pearl's OptiLoc suspension system, ensuring maximum resonance and articulation from the rack tom. The Midtown Shell Pack includes a 13'' x 5.5'' snare drum finished in a black gold glitter lacquer, and a full set of drum bags designed specifically for the Midtown series.

Poplar Shells

The Midtown Compact Shell Pack features poplar shells, with 6 plies making a thickness of 7.5mm. The shells deliver a crisp sound with a powerful high end and attack, perfect for unleashing strong tones. The shells are equipped with eye-catching chrome hardware, as well as 1.6mm steel, triple flanged hoops, offering brilliant versatility combined with a sleek design.

OptiMount Suspension System

The rack tom is equipped with Pearl’s OptiMount suspension system that features a triangular design with two tension rod attachment points and another through on of the drum’s two air vents. Rubber isolators at all connection points enable the drums to vibrate freely for ultimate sustain and resonance while providing absolute wobble-free performance.
