Yamaha have combined feedback from its respected artists, professional sound engineers and craftsmen to produce the new Live Custom kit, placing greater focus on playing in live situations.

Made from 100% oak, using 1.2mm plys that are 1% thicker than those used on Yamaha's Oak Custom drums. Bass drum shells consist of eight-ply designs whilst tom, floor tom and snare shells are constructed of six-ply oak.

New features include a new bass drum, mount, claws and snare strainer. The Live Custom Kit is finished in Black Shadow Sunburst with black nickel plated hardware and a black finished shell interior for a dominating appearance.

Incredible stability and reliability, even in demanding stage environments, is provided by the innovative hardware design. YESS mounts are designed to minimise contact between the shell and mount, delivering a wider dynamic range and longer sustain.

The Live Custom delivers a sound with greater strength and depth, providing rich, expressive power that exceeds your imagination. The oak sound is clear and well-defined with a powerful low-end that shakes your soul, on stage and in the studio.
