Loaded with two DMT Design humbucking pickups in the bridge and neck position the Colt delivers a warm and resonant tone with plenty of bottom end and sparkling highs. Perfect for a range of playing styles and music genres the DMT Designed humbuckers particularly excel when used for smooth lead licks.

Peizo Saddle Pickup

Additionally the Colt Semi Hollow Body incorporates a legendary Peizo pickup under the bridge saddle to provide maximum tonal versatility. Unlike the sound of the DMT humbuckers the Peizo pickup transducers create an acoustic tone by picking up the wood vibration as well as the string vibration. Perfect for a softer and more acoustic sound the Piezo Saddle Pickup redefines the tonal possibilities of the semi hollow body design.

Pickup Switching & Control

With two volume controls, one for the DMT humbuckers and one for the Piezo pickup you can use each type of pickup separately or instead allow a combination of the two types of pickup via the additional 3-way switch located with the volume/tone controls. With three control modes the switch allows you to turn the Piezo off, use in combination with the DMT humbuckers or in a standalone mode for a fully acoustic style tone.
